PulmoClear 3% Hypertonic Saline Inhalation Solution is a product used to relieve the symptoms of a blocked nose and sinuses. It contains sodium chloride, which is a salt that helps to thin mucus and make it easier to cough up.
PulmoClear 3% Hypertonic Saline Inhalation Solution is a sterile solution that is available in single-use vials. It is used with a nebuliser, which is a device that turns the solution into a fine mist that can be inhaled.
You will most often inhale hypertonic saline as a mist twice a day through a nebulizer. However, everyone is different, so your doctor will prescribe how much and how often you should take hypertonic saline based on your specific health needs. To ensure that hypertonic saline does not cause problems. This hypertonic saline solution 3% for inhalation can be used with pneumatic or ultrasonic nebulizers. Use your nebulizer according to the manufacturer's instructions provided with the system.
Precautions for use:
Single-use only. Strictly reserved for inhalation. Not for injection. Check that the unit-dose vial has not been damaged prior to use. Do not use a damaged unit-dose vial. Follow the nebulizer manufacturer’s instructions for use. If a tendency to develop dyspnea or hypersensitivity is present, the inhalation solution must not be used without medical supervision. Do not mix with other medications. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date.

How To Use
How Do I Take It:
You will most often inhale hypertonic saline as a mist twice a day through a nebulizer. However, everyone is different, so your doctor will prescribe how much and how often you should take hypertonic saline based on your specific health needs. To ensure that hypertonic saline does not cause problems. This hypertonic saline solution 3% for inhalation can be used with pneumatic or ultrasonic nebulizers. Use your nebulizer according to the manufacturer's instructions provided with the system.
To take hypertonic saline:
Wash and dry your hands. Empty a single-use vial of hypertonic saline into a clean nebulizer cup. Sit upright in a chair. Place the mouthpiece of the nebulizer between your teeth and on top of your tongue. Inhale and exhale normally through your mouth, making sure you don't breathe through your nose. Remember to take a couple of deep breaths every minute or two to ensure the saline reaches your smaller airways. When you hear a sound similar to spitting, it means the hypertonic saline is almost used up. Tap on the nebulizer cup. Keep breathing the medication in until it is entirely used. Remember to use the full dose. If you need to cough or stop your treatment for some reason, turn the compressor off. When you are ready to restart your treatment, turn the compressor back on and resume treatment.

I have COPD and have a cough with mucus. I have used/use all the conventional medications but after buying a small handset held nebulizer and then ordering this 3% pulmoclear to go into the nebulizer, I haven't looked back. I use morning and evening and during the day if I find my chest is getting tight... and it works. My cough and mucus has decreased noticeably in the morning. And although I still do have a cough, it's nothing to what it used to be, and certainly I can feel my chest is much clearer. For me it's a life saver, hence why I am on my third box. Great value.
